Semiconductor products cover thousands of chips and nearly 100,000 kinds of discrete devices, the global annual output value of about 600 billion US dollars, and support the downstream annual output value of trillions of dollars of various electronic products and systems, as well as the annual output value of hundreds of billions of dollars of software, the Internet, the Internet of things, big data and other digital economy. According to statistics, $1 of semiconductor products generates $100 of global gross domestic product (GDP). Semiconductor technology is considered to be the key core technology of the national economic and social development and has great strategic significance.

The participants carried out a detailed analysis of the human development needs and talent gaps in the semiconductor industry, and carried out an in-depth discussion on the direction of professional construction and practical training capacity improvement, and the action plan for enhancing the integration of production and education.
