On October 14, the inaugural conference of the National Industry-Education Integration Community for the Robotics Industry (hereinafter referred to as the "Community") was held in Shunde, Foshan, in a hybrid format combining online and offline participation. Beijing Soft Robot Technology Co., Ltd. (SRT) was invited to attend. Under the guidance of the Education and Examination Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Department of Vocational and Adult Education of the Ministry of Education, and the Robotics Professional Committee of the College Graduates Employment Association, the Community was jointly established by KUKA Robotics (Guangdong) Co., Ltd., Tongji University, and Shunde Polytechnic, together with more than 100 member units including industry organizations, universities, vocational colleges, research institutions, and upstream and downstream enterprises, forming an innovative industry-education integration and interactive organization.
The Community implements the requirements of documents such as the Opinions on Deepening the Reform of the Modern Vocational Education System issued by the General Office of the CPC Central Committee and the General Office of the State Council, promoting the integration of vocational and general education, industry-education integration, and the convergence of science, technology and education. It brings together high-quality resources in the robotics industry, aligns industry needs with education supply, and builds an innovative platform for industry-education integration and interaction, facilitating the organic connection of the education chain, talent chain, industrial chain, and innovation chain.
At the founding conference, the first council meeting of the Community was held. Wang Xu, General Manager of the Education Business Unit at SRT, participated online as a corporate representative. The meeting reviewed and approved the Constitution of the National Industry-Education Integration Community for the Robotics Industry, voted on the list of the Community’s organizational structure, and heard the Community’s work plan for 2023-2024. KUKA Robotics (Guangdong) Co., Ltd., Tongji University, and Shunde Polytechnic were elected as rotating chairperson units of the Community. Thirteen units, including Beijing Research Institute of Automation for Machinery Industry Co., Ltd., Beijing Soft Robot Technology Co., Ltd. (SRT), Jiangsu College of Engineering and Technology, and Shenzhen Institute of Information Technology, were elected as vice-chairperson units. Twenty-one units, including Shanghai Xipu Intelligent Systems Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Electronic Information Vocational Technical College, were elected as executive director units. Song Yuhong, Dean of the School of Intelligent Manufacturing at Shunde Polytechnic, was appointed Secretary-General of the Community.

As a vice-chairperson unit of the Community, SRT has built a solid foundation for industry-education integration and ecosystem collaboration. We have carried out in-depth cooperation with numerous universities, vocational colleges, and technical schools, engaging in on-site engineer training and collaborative education. Together with our partners, we have established school-enterprise dual-mentor teaching standards and assessment requirements, organically integrating talent cultivation, teacher professional development, internship and practical training, student innovation and entrepreneurship, and enterprise service technology innovation. This promotes industry-education integration and the convergence of science, technology and education, achieving sustainable and connotative innovative training of on-site talent, and driving the sustained development and win-win cooperation of the Community."
