Company News | SRT Selected for MIIT’s 2023 Intelligent Manufacturing Standard Application Pilot Project!



According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the list of 2023 Intelligent Manufacturing Standard Application Pilot Projects has completed its public notification, with a total of 78 projects nationwide. The smart factory standard application pilot project, in which Beijing Soft Robot Technology Co., Ltd. (SRT) played a key role together with China Aviation Planning and Design Institute (Group) Co., Ltd., was selected.



The application for this pilot project aims to leverage the supporting and leading role of standards, guide manufacturing enterprises to organize production, operations, management, and services in a standardized manner, form a number of standardized and high-level system solutions, and promote the high-end, intelligent, and green development of the manufacturing industry.



In this project, human-robot collaborative manufacturing is a key part of the involved intelligent manufacturing application scenarios. Standard application pilots will be carried out on the intelligent manufacturing assembly line, the electronic assembly automation production line, and their execution control systems. The focus is on breaking through the long-standing bottlenecks and difficult process links in aviation airborne production through human-robot collaboration, significantly improving production and manufacturing efficiency.


From 2023 to 2024, SRT undertook the project of “Hardware Equipment for Sensor Intelligent Assembly Line” for the overall project lead unit. The project as a whole includes the R&D and technical services for nearly 30 pieces of non-standard equipment and production lines, such as pin fusion welding equipment and terminal crimping equipment.



In the early stage of the project, SRT’s service team learned from customer research that during the customer’s preparation for automation and digital transformation and upgrading, there were many processes that originally required manual assembly operations, and these processes were highly specialized, with general processes unable to solve the problems.


To address these specialized processes, SRT leveraged its years of experience in equipment and production line R&D in the non-standard automation industry, focusing on two key needs: automation and human-robot collaboration. By fully utilizing the unique advantages of R&D equipment in improving worker efficiency, reducing labor intensity, and standardizing operation procedures, SRT provided equipment and technical service support at the physical execution layer for the customer’s “digital and intelligent transformation.” For example, the pin fusion welding equipment and the semi-automatic crimping equipment mainly solved the problem of poor consistency in original manual operations.



On the other hand, as a research‑driven comprehensive and innovative company, SRT will continue to focus on the long‑standing pain points, bottlenecks, and blockages in the transformation of related products within the field of intelligent manufacturing for high‑end aviation equipment. It will break through the production characteristics of “multiple varieties, small batches, personalization, and customization,” and promote the improvement of intelligent manufacturing innovation and application levels for aviation electromechanical products by using more universally applicable production line solutions.
