On August 21, SRT and Taishan Polytechnic jointly exhibited at the Shandong Education Expo, presenting an intelligent harvesting robot based on soft robotics technology.
The project integrates soft robotics and machine vision technologies, with self-developed food-grade flexible grippers and an intelligent control system. It can precisely locate fruits and vegetables and cut fruit stems. Equipped with an autonomous obstacle avoidance mechanism, it adapts to field environments such as orchards and greenhouses, fully automating harvesting and collection. It is suitable for soft fruits such as apples, peaches, and plums, helping reduce labor and fruit loss.
By participating in this expo, SRT not only provided a teaching platform closely aligned with real industrial scenarios for relevant programs at vocational colleges and higher education institutions, but also further advanced the implementation of industry-education integration in specific professional fields.
